FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Phorb is a couple mood tracker and relationship app for iPhone. You log how you're feeling during the day, and your partner sees it in real time — only the two of you.
Beyond emotions, you can leave notes (with photos), send tactile pulses, draw doodles together, answer Daily Sync questions, plan events on a shared calendar, and keep a private wish list. Story shows your past days in one timeline. Lock screen and home screen widgets keep your partner on your mind without opening the app.
Works whether you live together or you're long distance. Some features need Premium; the basics are free.
You pick your primary emotion (and optionally a secondary one) on the home screen. Your partner gets a notification and can see what you logged anytime that day.
They can do the same for you. Over time, Story builds a timeline of both of your check-ins — useful when you forget what Tuesday felt like, or when you want to spot patterns together.
The point isn't to score your relationship. It's to make "how are you, actually?" less of a guess.
Yes. Phorb was built for couples who aren't in the same room all day.
Emotion updates, notes, pulses, and doodles all sync between you two in real time. Daily Sync gives you something to talk about besides "how was your day." Widgets on your lock screen are a small way to feel close when you're miles apart.
Same app works fine if you share a home — you just might use it less often.
Emotional attunement means noticing how your partner feels and responding in a way that fits — not fixing, just being there.
That's harder than it sounds. Many of us weren't taught to name our own emotions, let alone say "I need reassurance" or "I need space today." Phorb gives you a low-pressure way to practice: log a feeling, pick a need from a list, or leave a short note. Your partner sees it without you having to start a heavy conversation from scratch.
It's a skill. The app doesn't replace talking — it makes the talking easier to start.
The free version covers the core stuff: emotion tracking, notes, needs (a subset), pulses, doodles (with limits), Story, Daily Sync, events, and widgets.
Premium unlocks for your whole pair — one subscription, both partners. You get all needs (including deeper support prompts), unlimited doodles and active wishes, photo attachments on notes (up to 4 per note), unlimited custom calendar events, all guided daily rituals, and early access to new features.
There's a free trial before you commit.
No. One Premium subscription covers both of you.
Whoever subscribes unlocks Premium for the pair. The other person gets a notification that shared access is active. You don't pay twice for the same relationship.
If Premium ends, paid features lock again for both of you — rituals and server-side perks turn off automatically.
Phorb is built for two people, not a feed. Your emotions, notes, doodles, and calendar are visible only to you and your paired partner.
You connect by invite link or pairing code — nobody else can browse your relationship space. For details on storage, retention, and account deletion, see phorb.app/privacy.
Widgets are lock screen and home screen panels that show live info from your relationship — your partner's current emotion, a doodle, a need, how long you've been together, and more.
They're optional. But if you like glancing at your phone and thinking of your partner without opening an app, widgets are probably the fastest way to do that in Phorb.
