Love counter: how long have you been together?
Enter the day you got together. You'll see how long you've been a couple and the dates of the milestones coming up. Phorb, a free couples app for iPhone, keeps the same count on both of your phones.
When did it start?
Your first date, the day you became a couple or your wedding: use the date the two of you celebrate.
Coming up
Your date stays in this browser. It isn't sent anywhere.
The love counter in the Phorb app
Phorb is a couples app for iPhone with a love counter built in. You both see the same count, so you don't need to type a date into a website each time.
Days Together
Your days together as one big number on the Home Screen, the Lock Screen and the Apple Watch face.
Time Together
The full time since your anniversary on the Lock Screen, counting up to the second.
Countdown
The time left until your next month or year anniversary, or until an event you pick.
Milestones in Story
Story shows the countdown to your next milestone under its calendar. Open it to change your anniversary date.

Set up your love counter in three steps
- 1
Pair with your partner
Each of you installs Phorb and connects. Widgets stay empty until you're paired.
- 2
Set your anniversary
Answer "When did you get together?" during setup. You can change the date later from the milestone countdown in the Story tab.
- 3
Add the widget
Touch and hold your Home Screen or Lock Screen, add a widget, search for Phorb and choose Days Together.
How the count works
- 1
Calendar days, your time zone
The count uses the date on your own device, so a new day starts at your midnight.
- 2
The first day is day 0
Like most date calculators, the day after you got together is day 1. Turn on "Count the first day as day 1" to count the Korean way.
- 3
Months follow the calendar
Started on the 31st? Your month anniversary falls on the last day of shorter months. A 29 February start celebrates on 28 February outside leap years.
Which date should you count from?
Your first date
Easy to agree on, because you were both there and you both remember it.
The day you became a couple
Many couples count from the day they agreed to be together. If neither of you remembers it, pick another date.
Your wedding
Married couples usually switch to the wedding date and keep the dating anniversary as a quieter day.
Decide together
Which date you pick is a common friendly argument. Agreeing on one matters more than which one wins.
Ways to mark the big numbers
100 days
In South Korea couples count down to their 100th day and usually swap gifts (JoongAng Daily, 2014). Many go on to mark 200, 300, 500 and 1,000 days.
1,000 days
Write a list of things you love about each other, then read the lists out loud together, in person or on a call.
Every year
Family researchers link repeated rituals with higher marriage satisfaction (Fiese et al., 2002). The same dinner every year counts.
Share the moment
Sharing good news with a partner who responds warmly goes with better days and a closer relationship (Gable et al., 2004). A milestone is an easy excuse.
Questions
How many days have we been together?
Enter the day you got together in the love counter above. It shows the total number of days, the years, months and days, and the weeks from that date to today.
Does the first day count?
Not by default: the day after you got together is day 1, as in most date calculators. Turn on "Count the first day as day 1" to count the Korean way, where the 100th day is 99 days after the start.
When is our 100th day?
100 days after the date you got together, or 99 days after it if you count the first day. The counter shows the exact date and weekday, along with 500 days, 1,000 days and every anniversary.
What if we got together on the 31st or on 29 February?
Month anniversaries move to the last day of shorter months, so a 31 January start celebrates on 28 February, or 29 February in a leap year. A 29 February start has its yearly anniversary on 28 February in other years.
Is our date saved?
Only in this browser, so the count is still there when you come back. It isn't sent anywhere, and Clear date removes it.
Is there a love counter app for iPhone?
Yes. Phorb is a free couples app for iPhone with a Days Together widget for the Home Screen, Lock Screen and Apple Watch, a Time Together widget that counts to the second, and a Countdown to your next anniversary. It runs in 10 languages, and each of you uses your own.
Does my partner need Phorb too?
Yes. The widgets show what you share in Phorb, so you both install the app and pair. The counter then shows the same number on both phones.
Can we see the count every day?
Yes. Add Phorb's Days Together widget to your Home Screen or Lock Screen and the count updates every day. The widgets are free.
